Urge The New York Governor To Require School-Related Parental Leave For Working Parents!

Working full-time while caring for a child is difficult enough, but many states like New York make it even harder. Without guaranteed leave to attend their child’s school events and parent-teacher meetings, parents often miss critical moments in their child’s development. Minimal flexibility – such as a dozen hours per year of job-protected time off - can make a huge difference for parents who wish to attend these school events but do not, for fear of losing pay or even their jobs.

Eighteen states and the District of Columbia have adopted school-related leave laws or regulations.

It’s time for New York Governor Cuomo to join them and require school-related parental leave for working families!
