Reduce Single Use Plastic in Our Community Now!

  • van: Kimberly Hernandez-Castellanos
  • ontvanger: My audience is students, teachers, parents, and school staff who want a cleaner and healthier environment.

My cause is reducing plastic waste in our community, and this issue is about cutting down on single-use plastics that end up in our oceans. One significant issue related to our cause is that plastic does not biodegrade and harms wildlife. This problem affects marine animals because they often mistake plastic trash for food. This is important because a healthy ocean is necessary for a healthy planet. Without change, pollution could permanently damage our local ecosystems. One way to solve the plastic waste problem is to speak up about banning single-use plastics in local shops. The city council should prioritize passing laws that encourage using reusable bags and containers. People should sign this petition and pledge to use less plastic to help solve this issue. Together, we can keep our oceans clean and protect our planet for the future.
