Wolves are one of the most misunderstood animals in the world. They are regarded by some as dangerous animals. This is not usually the case, as far as humans are concerned. Wolf attacks on humans in this day and age are extremely rare, with most healthy wild wolves being very wary of humans. You're probably far more likely to be killed by a human than by a wolf.
Still, wolves have been villified and cast as villains and scary creatures in stories (the Big Bad Wolf in fairy tales and the scary depictions of werewolves, nothing against werewolves, if they exist). They are also opposed by ranchers who see them as a threat to their "livestock".
Wolves that attack livestock for food are doing so due to natural instincts, and to provide food for themselves and their families/packs. They are probably not doing it for fun or for other unnecessary reasons, unlike humans who hunt for sport and slaughter animals for money, for convenience and for their tastes and choices of food. Farm animals can be protected from wolves by the use of guns to scare them away rather than than to shoot to kill/hurt/harm. They can also be protected by the use of electric fencing and fladry. No wolf (or any other sentient being) should be hurt, harmed, killed or distressed unnecessarily.
However, the U.S Government have proposed at least 50 times to strip wolves of their protection, if I'm right. The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service can also act as enemies to wolves. Please don't ever strip wolves of their protections. Please stop persecuting, hurting, harming, killing and distressing wolves unnecessarily once and for all. Use and promote humane, non-lethal ways of protecting farm animals from wolves and controlling wolf populations (where and if wolf populations need to be controlled).
Thank you 😊 to the moon 🌓 and back.
Have the best day and night ever!
