Thousands of Migrant Workers Have Died in Qatar. FIFA Looked the Other Way.

A shocking investigation by the Guardian has revealed that 6,500 workers have died in Qatar since the country was awarded the World Cup. This mass death is a tragedy, and FIFA must be held accountable!

Sign now to demand FIFA take responsibility for the human rights abuses at the World Cup and compensate the families of the laborers who died working to make this event possible!

Qatar has received a lot of attention for its rampant mistreatment, abuse, and exploitation of workers in the months and years leading up to the current World Cup. But FIFA is no stranger to corruption and human rights abuses.

In the 1970s, FIFA chose Santiago, Chile to host the massive event while the country was under a coup-backed military dictatorship. And the World Cup literally took place in Chile's national stadium, which was used as a concentration camp for political prisoners just a few months earlier.

Today, World Cup-sponsored tragedies continue. Thousands of workers have died in the 10-year period leading up to the current tournament. FIFA and its partners will make billions of dollars and priceless publicity off of this year's event. The least they can do is take responsibility for the human rights abuses and commit to finally compensating the families of those that died while working to make the World Cup possible.

Sign the petition now to tell FIFA: the world will not tolerate the organization's corruption and human rights abuses any longer!
