Demand that Montana Teachers Retirement Divest from Gun Manufacturers

According to Montana Teachers Retirement, some of our pension funds are invested with gun manufacturers as follows:
BlackRock is the investment manager for our two index funds within the Domestic Equity Asset Class held within CAPP. The two index funds are:

MSCI USA (large and mid-cap stocks)
MSCI USA Small-cap

In terms of what appear to be two of the largest U.S. gun manufacturers:

Strum Ruger & Co - we have had exposure to this name (investment)in the MSCI US Small-cap Index fund

Smith & Wesson - changed name to American Outdoor Brands in 2016 - we have had exposure to (investments in) this name in the MSCI US Small-cap Index fund

Demand that the Montana Teachers Retirement divest from funds that promote the gun culture in America. The Gun Lobby needs to hear from investors that our money will not support the proliferation of guns in our society.
