Stop "Spot Zoning" in Lakeland Farms - NO STORAGE UNITS

We have been contacted by Comer Law Office, LLC in regards to Scott Mattingly having interest to rezone the old farm land at 8505 East 100 North that is tucked into an Avon subdivision to build a Stor-A-Lot Storage facility.

Effect on the neighborhood and surrounding area:

  • Safety-our children playing/living near a commercial business with vehicle traffic, foot traffic, revolving door of people/moving trucks, illegal activity associated with self-storage facilities
  • Property Value-said storage facility is known as a 24/7 access operation with outdoor lighting on all night long, eyesores plagued by metal buildings, metal roll-up doors and piles of junk which will decrease interested buyers in purchasing homes in the surrounding area
  • Zoning-although a petition has not been known to the Hendricks County Plan & Building Commission, let it be known that once a piece of land is zoned for commercial use, fact show it will remain a business and could potentially be a revolving door of businesses in the future
