Support a gas tax, the closing of corporate loopholes and on-time budgets

1. Pennsylvania gives away millions of dollars every year to rich corporations in the form of tax credits, loopholes and subsidies.

2. Republican proposals have relied on significant borrowing (the interest will add additional cost for taxpayers) and expanded gambling.

3. Democrats believe there are better ways to close the budget gap, including passing a reasonable, fair tax on shale gas and closing corporate tax loopholes.
