I drive an electric car, when at home it runs on electricity paid for by wind/sun power. When taking trips there are too few places to charge, but in MN we have state parks using wind and solar to create electricity and many who visit state parks are environmentally oriented and might drive their electric cars if they could re-charge easily......I have also always thought that easy access to charging stations on interstates/highways, such as in rest areas, would increase access and use of electric vehicles!
Dear Governor Dayton and MN Legislators:
Minnesotans want and should be leaders in cleaner energy options, including electric vehicles! We can do this together by promoting the option of electric car charging stations in all Minnesota State Parks and highway rest areas!
They don't have to be free, just available for all potential electric vehicles........
We can do it and help lead the world to a safer, cleaner future.....and if the stations charged a little fee, it would help offse their presence.......
