So if you haven't seen the news Dollar General is trying to build ANOTHER dollar store near our neighborhoods. The address is 6790 Houston Road Macon Georgia.
If you're not familiar with Houston road, we have a Fred's , Family Dollar and DOLLAR GENERAL less than 5 miles from the proposed location.
Teramore Development LLC's proposal states that the location "should allow for meaningful sales figures due to a void in the market." This is not a void in the market. Planning and Zoning should deny this request.
In the last few years there have been multiple robberies at many Dollar Generals and discount stores in Macon. We should not encourage that kind of growth in South Bibb.
This is short notice , but they are meeting Monday, March 25, 2019 in the MBPZ Conference Room, Terminal Station | 200 Cherry Street, Suite 300 beginning at 1:30 p.m. I encourage you to attend this meeting and voice your concerns. Please sign this petition and let planning and zoning know that we, like the residents of West Bibb, do not want another dollar general in our area.

Quick Update! Probably the last until after the meeting. Macon-Bibb planning and zoning are meeting at Terminal Station 200 Cherry Street Suite 300 beginning at 1:30PM. If you are a resident of south bibb and can attend that would be great! I'll be there to deliver the signatures!
We've got 100 signatures on this petition now. Thanks to everyone who has signed! I'm going to leave the petition up for a few more days in case they move the meeting to make room for more public comment. Thanks!

Hello everyone! After some time canvassing some local neighborhoods I've noticed door-to-door petitions are pretty inefficient. Going to focus efforts on spreading the online petition.
