Get a new skatepark built in East Mesa, AZ!

People should sign this petition because there are hundreds of skateboarders in Mesa and besides Reed park, which is located downtown in an area most people deem unsafe there is no skate park in our city. All of the skateboarders in Mesa are being forced to either skateboard on the streets, or drive twenty plus miles to the nearest quality skate park. Having a skate park in Mesa would allow kids who aren't attracted to traditional team sports a way to express themselves in a positive way. This park would also provide economic benefits, when people come to visit the park they spend money at the other services and businesses nearby. Skate parks give at risk kids an activity to partake in that builds self esteem and helps them establish their own identity as well as belonging to skateboard community as a whole.
