I AM STARTING THIS PETITION TO ASK FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN HELPING ME TO URGE FORTNUM AND MASON TO STOP SELLING THE VILE PRODUCT KNOWN AS FOIE GRAS.
Thousands of ducks and geese (who are naturally water birds) are kept on factory farms in metal caging. If this wasn't horrific enough for these gentle, intelligent birds, they are then FORCE FED, having their heads held and a metal feeding tube shoved down their throats FORCING massive ammounts of grain down their throats so their livers eventually swell up to make the vile product known as FOIE GRAS.
This very cruel method causes untold suffering and pain to the birds, who, daily can only stand in the cages waiting to be tortured (because that's what it is) like this 4 times a day.
FORTNUM AND MASON PLC have been made well aware of the extreme cruel methods used to obtain this product but continue to sell it. Please sign and share so we can let them know how disgusted we are with the company for being part of this horrendous cruel act.
