He Dragged His Puppy on the Ground, Then Beat It While Strangers Begged Him to Stop

The concern and kindness of multiple strangers in Florida may have helped save a small puppy's life. Passersby were appalled to see a little black puppy dragged behind a man's bike, before the man began hitting and kicking the dog.

Strangers risked their own safety to intervene and demand that the man stopped. When he didn't, they made sure the authorities stepped in to help.

The man had been riding his bike at a speed that was too fast for the little animal, leading the innocent puppy to fall over and be dragged painfully along the ground. The man didn't seem to care about the pup's safety - not only did he become angry at the dog for falling over, but he also allowed its leash to come tangled up with the bike over and over during the ride.

To punish the small dog, the man finally pulled over - and that's when he began to unload his rage. As the poor animal cowered and yelped on the ground, he kicked and beat it over and over, as good Samaritans begged him to stop. At one point, someone tried to offer the dog food or water, and the man refused to let the dog eat or drink. Then, he began to drag his dog away.

When police arrived, he refused to take any responsibility for his horrific cruelty, telling officers that his actions were justified because he was supposedly "training" the dog.

Unsurprisingly, the man's cruelty left the puppy injured; officers noted that any time someone touched its side to assess its wounds, it yelped in pain. Authorities have since rescued the dog away from this man and charged its former owner with animal cruelty. The dog is now receiving veterinary care at an animal hospital.

We must make sure that Florida never lets this man own or care for animals again in the future! Sign the petition now!
