Demand accountability and change from The City of San Juan Capistrano, Capistrano Unified School District, and San Juan Hills High School itself as, sadly, a second student was critically injured today.
Please continue to pray Kenneth, the child struck by a vehicle today while crossing Stallion Ridge on his way to school.
Unbelievably, another child that was struck by vehicle earlier this year was not enough to prompt action. Letters from his parents to the school board and other officials have been completely ignored. San Juan Hills High School didn't call 911 until HOURS LATER. It is time for accountability.
Morning sun reduces visibility for Eastbound traffic, and unusually high congestion with only one way in and out of the high school make this a dangerous place for children to cross. Many students' rides use the neighborhood's entrance and for drop off and pickup which also puts safety at risk.
We need staffed pedestrian crossings and police presence. It is too difficult for students to cross on their own and watch all sides. Cars do not stop for them and speed heading eastbound after exiting school property. We need support NOW before another child is harmed.
Please help us share our sincere, urgent concern and hold City and School officials accountable for answers and change, now.

This petition was sent to officials on 11/29 and again today. We've had a response from Mayor Ferguson, my reply to her remains unanswered. We've also been contacted by Brian Maryott and are seeing promise. In the meantime please continue to pray for the Tilstra Family as Kenneth recovers. Donate here: https://www.youcaring.com/tilstrafamily-1029412 Please attend the City Council mtg Tuesday where all citizens have 3 minutes to speak. http://38.106.4.59/Index.aspx?page=198 Please share!!!

Please keep praying, the student is still in critical care this evening. Let's keep sharing until we see a resolution to honor him and keep others safe. Additionally please call, email, do whatever you can to let the city, school board, everyone know that this is NOT OK and needs to change. Photo on petition shows exactly who to call and how to reach them. Thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts for your support.
