Give the Ganges Shark the chance to survive

The Ganges Shark is the most Endangered shark , this shark is assumed to be extinct since there was no sighting records between 1867 and 1996 but in 2001 it has been sighted and identified as Ganges Shark. It is only located in the Ganges river in India and it is a pure fresh water shark . It is often confused with the bull shark which needs salt water to survive .Its length is about 6.7 feet or about 2 meter and it is listed as Critically Endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red list with only few Ganges Shark still believed to be alive .

Threats are over fishing for its meat and oil , it is also hunted for its fins and jaws because of the wide spread trading of shark jaws and fins.
