Why Trophy Hunting Should be Banned World Wide

It literally broke my heart when I heard about Cecil the lion being slaughtered for "sport".
Trophy hunting is a heinous crime against God's beautiful creatures and I believe most passionately that that sort of "recreation" for the rich (and ignorant) should be forever banned world-wide. Then I read that the poor lion suffered for quite some time before two men shot him. This is so sad that I cried. Trophy hunting is a luxury for the rich and they really need to focus on other things, rather than killing innocent creatures. How would they like it if the situation was reversed and they were the hunted?
