Demand a cross walk on SE 8th Street to save students, now!

High School students are crossing the street to get to school, and the nearest crosswalk will add an extra 5 minutes to their walk from a parking lot to school, a walk that should only take 30 seconds. Students are nearly getting hit by cars on a daily basis; cars that are speeding in a school zone. We need a crosswalk to indicate to the drivers that there are students crossing the street so they can slow down. If this continues to happen, there will be injuries or death in the near future.
