Rights for Independent Contractors

I worked for six months as an independant contractor for Shipt (grocery delivery service). After reaching my 500 orders they decided to deactivate my account without an explanation. As independant contractors we have no rights to benefits such as unemployment benefits. I feel that this is unfair. We are workers performing a job and making a company money, why should we be treated differently than an hourly or salary employee.
