Stop the Development of the Apartments in the Hillcrest / Front Street neighborhood

The city of Liberty, SC is considering a proposal to develop a 48-unit apartment complex on the block surrounded by South Hillcrest Street, Front Street, and Hwy 93. This would require three entrances onto those roads, increasing the traffic on already heavily trafficked and dangerous roads that simply cannot handle the increase. It will also put a significant strain on our already deteriorating water and sewer system that could cause problems for citizens across the city.  The citizens of the great city of Liberty request that the development plan cease immediately in order to further research the effect this development would likely have on our community and city as a whole. We desire progress based on a long-range development and growth plan, not a desire for quick income via tax money with no regard to how it will effect our city and its citizens.
