ALL high school students deserve a Diploma, specially Special Education students

I've worked in special education for over 17 years now. I've worked with students that are diploma bound and non diploma bound. I've notice that most of the diploma dound students can't even read,,most of whom read, or in elementary elevel reading. I strongly believe if a student completes the four years of high school, they ALL deserve to receive a diploma. A diploma is not going to get you into collage classes because we know there is a placement test. A diploma will not get you a job, one has to meet requirements, such as tests, interviews from employers. So does it matter that a real diploma is given to special education students, that complete the four years of high school?.. YES They deserve it TOO!!
