Reactivate the Kansas State Guard

Twenty One states have State Defense Forces. Kansas is not currently one of them. The Kansas State Guard has been inactive since 1948. An attempt to reactive the Kansas State Guard was made in 2007 but met with failure.

It would be beneficial to reactive the Kansas State Guard because it would allow citizens and residents of Kansas an opportunity to serve their community without the worry that they may be sent to serve overseas by the federal government.
