Allow Minors Ages 14 and Up to Have the Option of Emancipation in Florida

Some states in the U.S. allow minors ages 14-17 to be emancipated (given the rights and responsibilities of legal adults) with parental permission if there is a problem in their household, the minor has been kicked out of their house, or if they truly feel and demonstrate that they can live and go to school alone. Florida is one of the states where emancipation is not an option unless the minor is pregnant or has joined the military. I feel that Florida should give equal emancipation options to people that would be better off on their own, however do not meet the strict requirements made by the state. All states should give equal opportunities in this matter, and Florida has yet to catch up.
