Bury Henry Wirz Body Parts on Display

Whereas Henry Wirz was the commander of the Confederate Prison in Andersonville, Georgia and was hung on November 10, 1865 by the US Government,

And whereas his arm and certain neck bones remain on display at the National Museum of Medicine and Health located in Silver Spring, MD approx. 8 miles from Washington DC,

And whereas the display of body parts from times of war as a trophy of victory are a barbaric and uncivilized behavior,

And whereas the war between the states has been over for 150 years and President Grant gave permission for the whole body to be reburied

Let it be resolved that Captain Whirz's remaining body parts be properly buried in the spirit of a reunified country with the rest of his body at Mount Olivet cemetery In DC.
