Demand immediate release from jail , lack of due process for Jason Mitchell

I am concerned that's my husband is being treated unfairly and having to spend additional time in jail because they filed a petition to revoke his suspended sentence. He went to jail over trying to keep a family member's items safe. But instead got arrested and to save the rest of his family (his wife) from anything he agreed to take the charge even though he disagreed with the charge. Hes been serving his time in the Greene county Jail located in Bloomfield Indiana. On the way to the courthouse on Tuesday, April 30th 2019 he was being transported from The Greene county Jail in Bloomfield, Indiana to the courthouse in Bloomfield, Indiana while riding in the squad car he heard a call come across the radio that stated that someone had been shot. Over the squard cars radio he heard of the name of the individual that had been shot. That individuals name was Dustin Frederick Abel of Bloomington Indiana. Dustin Frederick Abel was not only a 32 year-old victim but our nephew. Jason had to go to court look his wife in the face and not say anything to her about there nephew being shot. After Court he was returned to the Greene county Jail waiting on his wife we pay the Community Corrections fees to be transported to Community Corrections to start his work release. A jailer came to his cell tell him to pack his stuff he was going to Community Corrections. He packed all of his items including items that he received from another inmate that was left to him in a tote. He packed his laundry bag, packed other items in a plastic bag then was placed back in handcuffs then changed into street clothes. As he was trying to pick up his laundry bag, a plastic bag of stuff, his legal papers, and a photo album of family pictures. He continue to drop the plastic bag. The jailer pick up the plastic bag tied it and proceeded to carry it for my husband. My husband stated to him he didn't want it throw it away I only want my legal papers and my photo album and to get out of here. He continued to tell the jailer he did not want those items to leave them, give them to other people or throw them away. The jailer went ahead carry the bag out of the jail across the parking lot and into Community Corrections building where again my husband told them he did not want those items throw them away. My husband did not want no memories of that jail except his legal papers and the pictures of his family which included his wife, granddaughter, his motorcycle, farm animals. He was in a hurry to get out of jail to see if his wife and granddaughter was still in the parking lot. As the jailer and Jason walked over he didn't see them. Once he realized that they were not in the parking lot all he could think about doing was calling his wife to see if she was okay. He did not know if his wife new about their nephew, he did not know the status of their nephew. When he was able to call home his wife answered the phone and was just distraught. He knew the outcome was not good. Our nephew have been shot and killed. Jason was very upset because he was not able to be there for his wife to comfort her during this time of need.  He could on console her by words. Then on May 1st 2019 he was able to see his wife who was still very distraught. He had to go look for a job so that he would not be in violation of a court order that only gave him two weeks to find a job or he would would not be able to remain in community corrections that would have to be returned to the Greene county Jail. After having to leave his wife who was distraught he could not do anything but casole her over the phone. This same afternoon a Greene county deputy came to community corrections to talk to Jason.  This deputy was not compassionate about anything that happened to our nephew. He read my husband his Miranda Rights and then accused him of stealing a black and white striped shirt out of the county jail. The deputy kept asking him about stealing a black and white striped shirt. The shirt was later found in the plastic bag that my husband had asked the jailer to throw away or leave it for somebody else. My husband explained to this deputy that when he take a shower he would wash his clothes and roll them up in thermals to dry overnight that if he took anything it was by errorr. A week later they arrested my husband, my husband called me I told him I was on my way to bail him out. The deputies at the Greene county Jail then cut off his GPS banned from community corrections even though they all knew I was on my way to bail him out. I paid his $400 Bond and he was returned to community corrections. upon his return to community corrections they didnot replace the band so that he could go to work Saturday morning as he was supposed to they didn't put it on Sunday they waited until Monday to put it on. once the band was put on he went to work on Monday. Monday after work he went back to community corrections took a shower and was going to be supper when the Greene county sheriff's department showed up and arrested him on theft of a black and white striped jail shirt. upon returning into the jail he asked them if they was going to be able to get him something to eat since he was not able to eat after he got off work. they told him that he would get something.   Once Jason was returned to his block inmates asked why was back he told them.  The inmates wrote him letters saying that he would not steal a shirt that he only wanted to get home to see his wife and grandkids. But  one of them wrote him a letter stating that they do not believe that he stole the shirt all  he continued to do was talk about how he wanted to come home to be with his wife and to see his beautiful granddaughter. His initial court hearing was via two-way video with the court he told the court he did not do it , they did not want to see his letters that he had got from other inmates. He even was denied a public defender. He was returned to jail where he learned this all started over an anonymous letter that was supposed to have been given to jailers a few weeks prior to this. They didn't say anything to anyone regarding this letter. Jason didn't learn that this anonymous letter was wrote from someone in the block that said he was going to steal the shirt upon his release and this is the same person that wrote a letter that said he didn't steal anything because all he could talk about was coming home and seeing his wife and granddaughter. Jason has been totally alone in the jail an inmate in the block that he was in came to his cell started screaming, threatening him and then we're out the door to where the jailers stayed and complained. Jason was then removed from the block and place in a holding cell where he has been for the past couple weeks. Recently he was approached by a jailer that stated that he had watch hours and hours of their surveillance video and he never wants same Jason have that shirt, pick that shirt up not one single time. but, they are still wanting to accuse him of theft no one will listen to Jason , no one will ask the jailers, and no one has watched that video except this one person. So, instead of the jailers being asked or the video being watched they had put in a petition to revoke my husband's suspended sentence. I am asking for everyone that knows Jason and knows that he would not steal a black and white striped shirt so please help him so that he can come home and be with his family. I (his wife) just cannot do the stuff around the house, do the mowing, take care of the animals and everything else on my own. I I'm asking everyone to please help me in regards to having them drop the petition to revoke is suspended sentence, to let him out of jail he has served his time for what they say he had. His family, himself, and I do not know where to turn to for help. We are in hope that if we get enough people to sign this petition and presented to the court that they will allow Jason Mitchell to return home and that all his probation time will be suspended and that they will drop the petition to revoke a suspended sentence. please if you know us you know Jason if you're able or willing to help us please sign this petition. Please his family doesn't know where to turn, Jason doesn't know where to turn and myself his wife I don't know where to turn. All I can do is cry. Please I'm asking for help to have the Greene county Court system , and the Greene county Jail to set him free let him come home and be with us. Thank you for reading my plea for help for Jason.

Update #14 jaar geleden
Well Jason was supposed to have been released on June 4, 2019 but, that isn't going to happen now. They are going to make him stay in jail until his hearing on the PTR. But the PTR is based on the charge that they have place against him about the supposed jail shirt charge and that is not going to be until July. Please everyone sign the petition, show the petition, help me get him out. call the prosecutor's office complain, do whatever to get him out of jail.
