Petition for Rashawn Bond sentence to be commuted to 20 years

In may 2014 Rashawn bond was convicted by the jury of a non slayer participant of felony murder importantly the jury determined that Rashawn bond did not personally inflict harm upon the victim the jury made this fact not only based on the evidence that was submitted at his trial but also based on the not guilty verdicts of the charged weapons offenses furthermore at his trial Union county lead detective of his case testified under oath there was no evidence of Rashawn bond being present when the victim was shot and killed although the not guilty verdicts returned against Rashawn bond proving he did not cause harm to the victim Rashawn was sentenced to prison for 30 years for a felony murder conviction the sentence Rashawn received is excessive punishment this harsh sentence should be reserved for those with the highest capability and not the non slayer with the lowest capability this sentence is grossly disapropriate for Rashawn's role in the copable offense
