In the closing days of the 2016 campaign, Melania Trump announced that as First Lady, she planned to combat cyberbullying. After 18 months of ignoring the issue, she finally unveiled her guidelines for teens to be safe online… Which were plagiarized almost verbatim from the 2014 guide published by President Obama's Federal Trade Commission.
This insulting charade needs to stop. If Mrs. Trump really wanted to do something about cyberbullying, it wouldn't be hard. She's married to the biggest cyberbully on the planet!
Donald Trump has used social media to attack gold star families, insult minorities, and defame any willing to voice valid criticism of him. He has degraded women, undermined America's credibility, and his rhetoric is so far below what was once thought "presidential," it is rarely even suitable for the workplace.
Even as Mrs. Trump publishes a guide (Obama's) on avoiding cyberbullying, Mr. Trump's behavior provides the bully blueprint and sends the message that vulgar online harassment is okay.
