STOP THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DANGEROUS COMPOST SITE 2.1 KM FROM MONTREAL AIRPORT

The construction of a compost plant 2.1 km from Montreal-Trudeau Airport and 100 meters from a busy flight path is a violation of the regulations of this airport. The regulation stipulates a 15 km distance to ensure that birds will not be sucked into the engines of low flying planes. The presence of two forests which are in extremely close proximity to this proposed plant will provide an endless supply of birds and animals attracted by the odours. This will lead to a very high risk to airline passengers and lead to the extermination of these birds and animals which inhabit these forests. The only "right" decision is for the Quebec Government to relocate this plant.
