Stop the D.E.A From Telling My Doctor how to Treat me for Pain
I'm a 55 year old women with Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, one by itself is painful but having to suffer through all three is unbearable. This month I was given my prescription which I haven't been able to fill because of the opioid crisis. Myself and an innumerable amount of patients are suffering since the D.E.A. are telling doctors how much they can prescription and limiting the amount of medication can be manufactured. I've been told by several pharmacies that they think this particular medication may no longer be manufactured. I'm a surviving child of a drug addict that overdosed and died. I would never even think about taking illicit street drugs plus they have protocols in place for those who abuse. I fully understand the concerns but what about me and the millions of patients who follow the rules and depend on this medication so we can have some type of quality of life. Should the many have to suffer for the few. I suffered for over 40 years waiting for medicine to catch up with fibromyalgia, for a way to diagnose adenonyosis, being told I was seeking drugs or I was a drug addict, losing almost every job I've ever held because there were days I couldn't sit, stand, walk or even use the bathroom. Being told maybe I need to loose weight, that I was depressed, being told I had an STD when I didn't, that I was a hypercondriac and that I was an addict until I almost died. I finally got the help I need and now this. Please join me and the millions of other patients that this affects. These diseases alone are debilitating enough don't let them take away the one of the only ways we get relief. Please sign this petition and show us some mercy. Thank you for your support,
Sincerely,
In Pain and in Need of your help!
