President Biden has ended Trump's Zero Tolerance/family-separation policy, stopped construction on the border wall, and announced his plan to grant 11 million undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship.
Excellent. Now...he needs to close the border camps.

Over 14,000 immigrants are currently in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody. And over half of these detainees have tested positive since the onset of the pandemic.
Although Biden has halted new family separations, the inhumane conditions suffered under Trump have not changed – families will simply be caged together, crowded with hundreds of others in tight spaces with little opportunity to social distance or stay sanitized.
With new, more contagious strains from the U.K. now confirmed across the country – and predicted to be the dominant strain by March – it is a question of life or death to detainees that the camps are closed.
ICE Detainees must have the opportunity to shelter in safety, just like the rest of us. Biden must close the camps.
