Being a new parent is a beautiful, vulnerable time. You are trying to rest, bond with your child, and adjust to a completely new life. But you don't sleep through the night. Medical bills pile up. You need all the help you can get.

Then imagine finding out that your employer has decided this is the perfect time to take away some of the support your family was counting on.

That's exactly what is happening with some U.S. companies, and it's a troubling trend.

Sign the petition demanding that Zoom and Deloitte restore their family leave benefits, support working parents, and set the right precedent for other companies!

There was a time when we were on the right track and many employers were expanding paid parental leave and other family-friendly benefits. They recognized a simple truth: workers are human beings, not machines. People need time to recover from childbirth, care for loved ones, welcome adopted children, and support their families through major life changes.

But now some corporations are moving backward.

Zoom recently cut parental leave for many employees. Deloitte has slashed paid family leave for certain workers in half, from 16 weeks to just 8 weeks. The company is also eliminating financial support for adoption, surrogacy, and IVF for some employees -- often the only path that some people have to parenthood.

These are not minor perks. These benefits can make the difference between being able to have a family or not. Between financial stability and crisis.

The cuts are particularly alarming because they disproportionately affect women. Research shows that robust paid family leave programs help women remain in the workforce and build long-term careers. At Deloitte, the reductions target many administrative and support positions that are predominantly held by women and often pay less than other roles.

The United States is already the only wealthy nation in the world without a national paid family leave program. While parents in many countries can count on months of paid leave, U.S. workers are often forced to rely entirely on whatever benefits their employers choose to provide.

Because of this, only about one-quarter of U.S. workers currently have access to paid family leave through their jobs. Instead of helping close that gap, Zoom and Deloitte are making it wider.

But family leave is not a luxury. It allows parents to recover, bond with their children, care for loved ones, and return to work healthier and more productive. It helps companies recruit and retain talented employees. It creates workplaces where people can thrive.

Most importantly, it recognizes that workers have lives and families that matter.

Sign the petition now and tell Zoom and Deloitte to stop balancing their budgets on the backs of working families. Restore paid family leave and family-building benefits immediately!
