In 2000, LCVs battleground states were decided by a very slim margin.
- New Mexico was decided by only 366 votes
- Wisconsin by only 0.22% of the vote
- Oregon by only 0.44% of the vote
- Florida was so close and so controversial that it went to the Supreme Court of the United States.
- Pennsylvania is shaping up to be one of the most highly contested states this year.

- Talk with voters about environmental issues
- Ask for their vote for a pro-environment president in November
- Create needed one-to-one relationships with voters about environmental issues
- Ask individual voters for their support
