Pledge to promote sustainable living, peace and social justice
With his petition I am hoping to create more awareness among people and encourage my fellow humans to take a more active role in preserving the Creator's creation.
There's no denying that Earth, our beautiful planet and many of its inhabitants, are in dire straits.
- There are still brutal wars, crushing poverty and shameful injustices in the world
- Rampant corporate greed and political cronyism benefit a minority at the expense of the majority
- Global warming, environmental destruction and elimination of many species are ongoing, even accelerating
- Continued economic growth is not possible with dwindling resources.
We threaten our very own survival unless we start to truly protect our planet's natural habitats, embrace sustainable living and renewable energies!! The solutions are all out there, we only need to apply them! And that takes EVERYBODY, politicians as well as corporations but especially US, the individual citizens of the World.

1) Buy Fair Trade products and organic produce - to help local farmers make a better living
2) Conserve energy and water by ...
a) installing dual-paned windows and insulated doors
b) using energy-saving light bulbs such as compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs)
c) wearing warmer clothes in winter so I can turn the furnace down
d) asking the building manager to install on-demand water heaters
e) buying a front-loading washer and Energy Star rated (energy-efficient) appliances
f) using less water by taking shorter showers and by installing low-flow shower heads, and when you have a lawn use smart, efficient sprinkler systems and timers
g) turning off my PC, stand-by devices and adapters at night
3) Walk, use public transit or ride my bike, fly only when absolutely necessary and if I buy a car, buy a hybrid
4) Eat as little meat as possible – meat production is a major contributor to global warming
5) Reduce trash and recycle glass, packaging, paper and cardboard – the world is drowning in trash
6) Switch to a clean and renewable energy company
7) Sign petitions to help combat global warming and environmental degradation, minimize social injustices, eradicate poverty, promote peace, responsible government and fair trade
8) Meditate and/or take part in group meditations for peace and healing of the planet.
