Systemic racism impacts every facet of society -- it affects Black Americans' access to health care, their right to vote, safe and affordable housing, education, and equal pay. It infects our justice system and law enforcement, which continues to mercilessly slay Black lives. Systemic racism is the reason why crises like COVID-19 and climate change disproportionately affect people of color.
Too many Black lives have been stolen by the police, racist armed vigilantes, and our prison system. Too long have Black lives needlessly suffered in our society. It's time to take action.
