'Bostadsförmedlingen i Stockholm' is a queue in Stockholm, Sweden, in which people who either completely lack a home, or already have a home, pay a fee every year, to stand in the queue, and this way try to get a home/an apartment.
This queue is severly failing their several thousands of queuers and has completely collapsed.
It takes up to 20-30 years to get an apartment in some areas of Stockholm, Sweden, which is ABSURD.
Even in the outskirts of the city people have to queue for up to 10 years to be one of those selected to view an apartment.
There is NO other country where people have to pay a fee every year, and stand in a queue for up to 20-30 years to be able to find an apartment to rent, only Sweden, which in turn results in many people being partly, or completely homeless, as well as many people aged 20+ have to live at home with parents, some even at the age of 40+ because the difficulty of getting an apartment in the Stockholm area, Sweden.

The queue has approximately 556'000 people and keep growing every year.
The queue only have a few number of apartments every week though, which all these hundreds of thousands of people then have to queue for.
You only get called to view the apartment if you are one of the lucky few 10-30 with the longest time/amount of years standing in the queue.
The queue is basically the only way for a person who is unable to buy real estate, to be able to get a home/rental apartment, unless renting from a private landlord, which often is impossible due to the extremely high rents.
Not only does it take an absurd amount of years in the queue to get a chance for a rental apartment, in most cases they also have long lists of specific requirements that one needs, to be able to even book interest on an apartment or to be approved as tenant, requirements which few people are able to present, such as a specific amount of yearly income, no debts, no benefits etc.
Also, the apartments are also often only available for specific groups of people, i.e. either seniors, youths, students or short term lease of between 3 months-max 4 years.
In other words, the queue is as good as impossible, and people are left completely homeless, or at best; having to live with friends, family, or room mates or the like, whilst waiting for years to reach a higher queue position, and a chance for a home.
Unjust system, that also discriminates people.
