You know him. You love him. Known for such memorable video game lines as "These.... seem to be enahgy weesouwces" and "butt I've nevah seen deez type on Earff" to "you must wecovuh aww the enewgy immediatewy, w-Mega Man!", and "wen we find dat meteah, we'ww find Doctah Wahwee!", the charming and elusive Jack Evans has depicted the best version of Dr. Light that ever mattered in the Mega Man franchise. He is to Mega Man as Paul Free is to Santa Claus from Frosty the Snowman (1969). Better yet, he is to Mega Man as Tim Allen is to Santa.
My point is that Jack Evan's Dr. Light is the holy matrimony of Santa Claus and Elmer Fudd.
Mr. Evan's apparent rhotacism has provided Dr. Light with a deep and profound quality that is infinitely delightful to hear and inimitable. It would be a crime for CAPCOM to feature voice acting in Mega Man 11, only to exclude Jack's angelic articulation. I implore you, CAPCOM, please do not deprive us of the one true Dr. Light that we need and deserve. Hiring someone else to voice him would be like casting Jim Carrey as Iron Man or, worse yet, Ben Affleck as Batman!
