Don't Force Irish Traveller Children to be Homeless!

The 86 Irish Traveller families, including 110 children, living at Dale Farm in Essex currently face eviction from local authorities. Despite the fact that Dale Farm is one of the few places in the UK that allows Irish Traveller families to give their children a stable childhood, the 400 people living there could soon face homelessness.
Despite the Dale Farm Land being owned by Traveller, Romani, and Gypsy families, Essex authorities have continually denied Irish Travellers their repeated requests to build residential properties.
According to Amnesty International, "The proposed eviction would leave residents of Dale Farm without alternative culturally adequate accommodation and without access to essential services."
Tell Essex that Dale Farm residents deserve to live in safety and without the fear of eviction from the land they rightfully own.
I am writing to urge you to cancel the eviction maneuvers against the 400 people currently living on Dale Farm in Essex.
Though the Irish Travellers own the land at Dale Farm, they have been continually denied the right to establish residency there. For the first time in many of the Travellers' lives, they have access to necessary services for their children.
Please consider the discrimination and obstacles that Irish Travellers already face in the UK. Don't add homelessness to that list.
