Help When Help is Most Needed

In times of conflict and crisis, the Red Cross is a beacon of safety.

From the COVID-19 pandemic to natural disasters and large scale humanitarian crises, we are living in challenging times. Families have been separated. Homes have been destroyed. Livelihoods lost. And yet, there's still hope.

The Canadian Red Cross' 6,000-strong response team provides shelter, food, water, financial assistance, and emotional support, which helps individuals, families and communities during times of disaster – and this assistance continues long after the fire is out or the floodwaters recede.

Because of our supporters, the Canadian Red Cross is a leader in disaster response, able to deploy our emergency field hospital, along with highly trained Canadian medical specialists, anywhere in the world within 72-hours. Just in this past year, we've mobilized over 8,800 emergency response volunteers across Canada, provided over 41,000 relief items, and conducted over 51,000 check-in calls.  And we've sent 62 specialists on international humanitarian missions, providing oxygen generators, patient visits, and mobile medical teams.

Earthquakes, landslides, hurricanes and floods stop for no one. These are just some of the challenges the Red Cross faces around the world. But our ability to respond depends on dedicated supporters willing to step up for those in times of need.  We need you in our corner.

Sign today and add your name to the group of Canadians who've pledged to do all they can to help us respond to disasters.
