A beautiful, young, male Sumatran tiger writhing in an illegal trap – it’s a sight you can never forget. Help arrived too late and he eventually died of his injuries. Too many of the world’s great species are on the brink of extinction because of habitat loss and illegal poaching.

The illegal wildlife trade has exploded to meet increasing demand for tiger products, elephant ivory and rhino horns, particularly in Asia. Controlled by dangerous crime syndicates, wildlife is trafficked much like drugs or weapons.
