Tell Wildlands Defense to use their money and land to relocate prairie dogs instead of protesting!

All over Colorado, prairie dogs (a keystone species) are being exterminated to make way for development and ranching. Wildlands Defense has been given money and land for relocation and conservation and if they care about saving these animals more than publicity, they would relocate. Please sign this petition to tell Wildlands Defense to use the settlement they received from Alberta Development and the donations by private individuals (numerous gofundme pages) to save the animals they claim to love instead of manipulating each situation as a photo/news op for attention and more money.

On June 2, WildLands Defense made a deal with Alberta Development to drop their referendum in Castle Rock that would have allowed voters to decide on a zoning change for The Promenade. The details of this agreement are private, but Deanna Meyer of WildLands Defense Colorado stated the deal included land and funding to relocate prairie dogs. Despite that available land, this group continues to protest instead of offering to relocate the prairie dogs. Encourage Wildlands Defense to do the right thing by their donors AND the animals!
