Save Pandas: Protect Old Growth Forests

Pandas have been in danger as the bamboo and old growth forests that they call home have been logged for China's development. Pandas aren't alone: Deforestation for furniture and palm oil plantations threatens spider monkeys in the Amazon and sun bears and orangutans in Indonesia.

Fortunately, China has made strides to protect its pandas and created nearly 60 reserves over the last decade. And thanks to the global conservation leadership of the Chinese government, the San Diego Zoo and others to protect habitat and support successful breeding programs, the 1,600 pandas found in the wild have a more secure future.

But we need your help. The best thing you can do to protect endangered wildlife is to protect the old-growth forests where they live.

In order to help endangered forest dwellers like the panda I pledge to:
