Verizon: Give Consumers Options for the Apple iPhone

Verizon just released their much-anticipated Apple iPhone 4. But could a newer version of the iPhone be just around the corner?

Consumers deserve to know their options before investing up to $300 in an iPhone, and recent history tells us that -- now that Verizon had their much-anticipated iPhone release -- Apple will release a new, upgraded phone this summer.

If you want to upgrade, will you be in violation of your two-year contract and face early termination fees up to $350? Or will you get a rebate or discount if you buy the new version?

You deserve to know your options: Tell Verizon President and CEO Daniel S. Mead to answer these questions so consumers can make an informed choice.
Dear Mr. Mead:

As a potential customer interested in spending up to $300 for a new Verizon Wireless Apple iPhone 4, I would like to know what options I will have should Apple release a new, upgraded model of the iPhone this summer?

Most notably, I'd like an answer to the following questions before I buy:

* If I want to replace the iPhone 4 with the iPhone 5, would I be in violation of my two-year contract commitment, and thus subject to an early termination fee of $350?

* Will I receive a rebate or some type of discount towards purchasing the new iPhone model?

* Will I face any other costs, penalties, or obstacles for upgrading to an iPhone 5?

Consumers should have all the relevant facts and answers before spending a significant amount of money on a phone that will soon be superseded by a new model.

Please publicly answer these important questions, so that I know my options and can make and informed choice about the products and services I buy.
