Right now, extreme partisans in the Republican party are threatening to shut down the Department of Homeland Security over the President's actions on immigration.
It's a dangerous political ploy to score points with the most anti-immigrant factions within the GOP, and it's threatening our national security. As Republican Senator John McCain explained on Meet the Press:
"[Americans] want things done. You cannot cut funding from the Department of Homeland Security. We need to sit down and work this thing out."
With terrorist groups like Al-Shabaab and ISIS openly mobilizing for terror attacks within the US, the petty bickering of Washington's politicians is putting the safety of our families and communities at risk.
Tell Congress to get serious about national security and pass the Senate's bill to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security without partisan restrictions.
