Help Protect Noyo River Redwoods Before It's Too Late!

Old redwood trees are living history -- but despite being thousands of years old, it's legal to fell these magnificent giants.

Currently, 426 acres of ancient redwoods and Douglas-firs near the Noyo River in California face harvest -- unless the land is purchased by April 1, 2011.

Save the Redwoods League wants to purchase this land to protect the ancient redwoods from harvest. This purchase would protect these last survivors and the area's wildlife. The acquisition also would restore habitat for the river's salmon, safeguard the animals who depend on the forest for survival and provide a home for other imperiled species such as the northern spotted owl.

We can't afford to lose a single one of these incredible trees, some of which are already marked for harvest. Pledge to support Save the Redwoods League's purchase and protection of the Noyo River redwoods and we'll keep you updated on how to help save these incredible trees.
