Tell Senate Republicans: DO YOUR JOB. Give Obama's Supreme Court Nominee A Fair Hearing

President Obama has chosen Merrick Garland as his Supreme Court nominee. The president has done his job – it's time for the Senate to do theirs.

Senate Republicans are refusing to consider any nominee put forward until the next president takes office. The U.S. constitution very clearly states that the president must nominate a new justice when there is a vacancy and that the Senate must advise and give consent on the nomination. There is no exception for election years.

Our Senators should serve their constituents and do what the constitution requires, not obstruct progress for the sake of partisan politics. If enough of us put pressure on the Senate, we can push them to give Merrick Garland the fair hearing and timely vote that he deserves.

Sign and tell the senate to do their job now, not when it's most likely to benefit their party.
To the U.S. Senate:

The U.S. Constitution clearly states that the President shall nominate a new justice when there is a vacancy, with no exception for election years. Both parties have always provided the courtesy of giving Supreme Court nominees an up-or-down vote.

Do your job: Give Merrick Garland a fair hearing and a timely vote.
