Being a child should not hurt. Make the laws of abuse more serious.

I am asking for signatures because I truly believe that if the laws against child abuse in any way is more serious, then possibly we can make a difference for the children. The laws of just a few years (even if its fifteen to thirty) does no justice to the loss of a child. Our future is in the hands of our children and if we don't at least try to make a difference in some way, what do they have to look forward to. Come together to make the world safer for our children. Our voices can and should be heard. Please sign the petition.
I hear too many stories all over the US about children becoming victIms to abuse. I also read comments under blogs after the story of abuse and know there are people out there that feel the same way I do. We need to implement a stronger law to stop the abuse. I believe scaring a predator into thinking twice will ultimately save thousands, if not more, children. But, with the law putting a predator or abuser behind bars for just a couple years will never do justice for the loss of a child. Please help protect the children of our future, I have children of my own and having to feel frightened because my child is in school, playing outside with friends, or just being a child could possibly be harmed or taken from me, well its an oncurring nightmare. Like myself I know there are millions of parents out there who feel this way as well.
