Child Molesters should have to live 2 miles ...

I am your constituent.  I have given thought to just how close to a 12 year old should a rapist of a 12 year old be allowed to live?  If a child molester moves into your neighborhood, your child just became a victim of him as he/she can no longer ride their bicycle, jog, skateboard, go on a walk, jump on the trampoline, or play in their yard of their own home.  Your property value just decreased as noone is going to buy in your neigborhood with them living there.  There will no longer be children playing in your streets.  The neighborhood once bustling will look abandoned.  The child rapist made the choice to rape the child.  Why should he/she be allowed to move next door or near to a child that already lived there? I can see an exception if no children lived in that area. Then if the parents choose to move in it's different.  I looked at the internet to check for sex offenders before we bought.  How many of you did?  Many areas school buses won't pick up children that live within 2 miles from a school.  Some of those children walk home.  Some of those children walk to school.  Since many school systems have chosen 2 miles as the distance that children have to live from the school to be able to catch the school bus.  Since children have to walk or catch other transportation when living within less than 2 miles from schools perhaps 2 miles is the closest to schools that sex offenders should live.  Thanks for your consideration.
