Tanya Van Heerden published a very disturbing article on the front page of the Kouga Express last week with the above picture showing a total disrespect for unwanted, lost and abandoned pets, that have been euthanized and dumped on our local garbage tip. This blatant disrespect for animals (whom most were once someones pets) should not be tolerated in any way or form. It is a sad reality that many cats and dogs are euthanized on a regular basis, but when it comes to the disposal of these animals, it should be done in a respectful and civilized manner. Appropriate burial procedures should be a strictly monitored and adhered to ensure that nothing as barbaric as the above happens again!
