Reforming the Electoral College

The United States Constitution promotes direct democracy for all elected officials including the Executive Branch (President).  However, once the primaries are completed direct voting for the President ends.  The Electoral College becomes the primary vehicle for determining the winner of the Presidential race.  If the constitution is to meet the challenges of a government for the people, by the people, and of the people, then the outcome of the presidential election in America should reflect the peoples' vote.  We, the undersigned, demand that Congress write a resolution, which merges the Electoral College Vote into the Popular Vote.  Therefore, we can bring back the presidential elections to the people.
Dear Congressperson:
We, the undersigned, strongly urge you to review the Electoral College and write a resolution that merges the Electoral College Vote into the Popular Vote.  If America is to be a government of, by, and for the people, then the outcome of the Presidential election should be the outcome of the peoples' vote, and not the Congressional incumbents.

Thank you kindly for your important attention.
