Tell Fox: Cheating Doesn't Make Gingrich a Strong President
In an article on FoxNews.com, Keith Ablow argues that "Newt Gingrich's three marriages mean he might make a strong president."
Ablow concludes that because Gingrich was able to "deliver ... incredibly painful truths" to his first two wives--the news that he had cheated on each of them--Gingrich will be "direct and unsparing with the Congress, the American people an our allies."
The article further suggests that Gingrich is a man who "needed to follow his heart," and that because of his affairs, he's better able to lead the United States in moving "with conviction in the direction of its heart."
Act now to tell Fox News to stop trying to put a positive spin on Gingrich's affairs. While infidelity might not necessarily make someone a bad President, it certainly doesn't make Gingrich more capable of being a good one.
We the undersigned call on you to stop trying to put a positive spin on Newt Gingrich's affairs. In Keith Ablow's opinion piece on FoxNews.com, he argues that "Newt Gingrich's three marriages mean he might make a strong president." While infidelity might not necessarily make someone a bad President, it certainly doesn't make Gingrich more capable of being a good one. We urge you to take a "fair and balanced" view of Gingrich's infidelity--you don't have to take him to task for it, but touting his irresponsible behavior as a strength is shameful.
