On Saturday, August 1, 2009, Austin Corley struck again at Crescent Lake in St. Petersburg, FL. This time, the 19 year old and a friend stole three adult geese and a number of ducks from the public lake to sell to restaurants or at livestock auctions.

Even though this is in direct violation of St. Petersburg, FL, City Ordinance ARTICLE II. PARK RULES, Sec. 21-48.(a) Wildlife; domestic animals generally, which states that it is unlawful to pursue, catch, molest or kill any animals in any Park, or disturb the nest, den or burrow thereof except to fish as allowed pursuant to this Article, the authorities have opted not to stop Corley or the likes of him.
Please sign this petition if you want the City of St. Petersburg, as well as the STATE OF FLORIDA, to pass and ENFORCE stronger laws that prohibit the catching, molesting, or killing of any animal in any Park in Florida, or disturbing the nest, den or burrow of any such animal.
