Please sign the petition and let our school board know that the Intensive French Program at Canadian Martyrs is very important and should continue with Mde Acx. I've seen the wonderful things the current students have learned and all children should have this opportunity. Not fair that they were 1 student short and then the school raised the quota to 25. Sign the petition and share with all parents at Canadian Martyrs.
Dear Derek Haime;
This petition is asking the school board to reconsider running the Intensive French Program at Canadian Martyrs. Also keeping Madame Acx as the french teacher.
The people who have signed this petition all feel the same way. We are either parents, family or friends of children affected by this decision and feel the decision to cancel this program is not the right thing to do.
Madame Acx is one of the best teachers we have met. She puts the passion in the children and current students in her intensive french class are excited about school because of Madame Acx. The French they have learned since September is more than some of us learned taking it in 3 years when we were younger. I wish the board would reconsider thier decision.
I hope Mde Acx can still teach French next year at Canadian Martyrs even if this program doesn’t happen. She is a rare gem and any school would be lucky to have her. She is a truly dedicated and loving teacher.
This petition was only started on April 23, 2013 and in less than a day and a half, 45 people signed it.
Please re-evaluate the intensive french program. There have been other parents who have sent in letters and emails asking for this as well.
We live in a bilingual country and all students should have this wonderful opportunity to learn a second language. You know as an educator that children are sponges at an early age. Intensive french will remain with them for a lifetime.
Give them the opportunity to shine. They are our future, let's not hold them back and deprive them of this wonderful program.
